Speaking of points, the Coles Rewards Mastercard is linked to the Coles flybuys scheme, earning you 2 flybuys points per $1 on eligible spending for the first $3,000 (and 1 point per $1 thereafter). Once you've clocked up 2,000 flybuys points you can redeem $10 off your shopping at Coles Supermarkets.
Bear in mind that eligible purchases exclude Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Special Promotions, BPAY payments, purchases of foreign currency and travellers cheques, transactions made in operating a business, bank fees and charges such as interest and ATM charges.
As part of the Mastercard network you can use it wherever Mastercard cards are accepted worldwide and pay via "tap and go" for purchases under $100 with Mastercard PayPass.

I have nothing but trouble with Coles Mastercard. There is no consumer protection. Quite a few times my card / account has been scammed and I had to fight and fight with Coles to convince that it was not me!!! The last hurdle is still in progress; I complained to AFCA to get them to help. Let's see how this goes. Btw = all Coles does is to offer me more and more money to lend so I can pay for their mistakes!

I had the worst experience with Coles financial services, awful company to deal with. I applied for two credit cards and did not get the points I was supposed to get. I escalated to manager and she showed no intention to help, now i am going to the financial ombudsman. Stay away from them, won't recommend them to anyone!
