ING Home and Contents Insurance*

This award-winning policy will cover your home and belongings against a range of natural disasters like fires, storms and earthquakes, plus damage to things like treasured antiques and artworks. You and your pets will also be sorted for up to 12 months (or 10% of the sum insured) if your residence is damaged to the point where you can’t live there while it’s being repaired.
To keep costs down on the standard policy, a few things are only available as optional extras. You’ll need to opt-in if you’d like underinsurance, which covers an additional 25% of the buildings insured sum if the cost of repairs or replacements go beyond your coverage. Cover for flooding and accidental damages are also optional extras, so you’ll need to think about how likely those events are considering your personal circumstances.
ING Comprehensive Car Insurance*
- New-for-old replacement (within 2 years or 40,000km of registration)
- 15% discount on your first years policy for applying online
With ING Comprehensive Car Insurance, you’ll get new-for-old cover on your car, just in case it’s written-off (so long as it’s under two years old or driven less than 40,000km). And if your wheels are stolen, ING will sort you out with a rental vehicle for up to 14 days (up to $1,000) with legal liability cover while you’re using the hire car. Alternatively, if the keys are stolen, replacement is covered for up to $1,000.
This policy also gives you the reassurance of a 24/7 claims service, emergency coverage for travel and accommodation cost (up to $850) and car towing ($100 per day, $850 in total). There’s also the option to include roadside assistance within your policy and you can elect your own repairer as an option extra.
