It’s that time of year again, folks. We’re just days away from the biggest Aussie music event of the year… the Triple J hottest 100 countdown! 

After compiling your fave song picks for 2022, the Triple J’s Hottest 100 voting polls are officially closed. The votes are being counted as we speak.

So, to help make sure your Hottest 100 sesh goes down without a hitch, here are all the deets:

When is the Triple J Hottest 100?

The Hottest 100 countdown will be broadcasted live on Triple J radio, kicking off at 12pm AEDT on Saturday, 28th of January 2023.

Here are the starting times for each Australian timezone:

  • WA: 9:00am 
  • NT: 10:30am 
  • QLD: 11:00am
  • SA: 11:30am 
  • NSW, ACT, VIC: 12:00pm
  • TAS: 12:00pm

What is the Triple J Hottest 100?

Every year, Australia’s national youth radio network Triple J holds a massive poll to find out what the nation's favourite songs were for that year. The results are then revealed (usually on the last weekend of January) live on air in a countdown of the top 100 songs of the year. 

Triple J’s Hottest 100 first kicked off in 1989 (wow!) and has since cemented itself into Aussie culture as an iconic celebration of the Australian music industry.
