I switched after many years with a previous company as I was paying too much for a rating one driver. The pricing was better but then a couple of months into the new policy, someone reversed into my car. Budget were fantastic about it. Handled very promptly with no fuss and a hire car was arranged. The phone staff are really helpful and pleasant to deal with.
I feel like I’m with an affordable insurer however any time I’ve spoken with them in the phone it’s taken an incredibly long time. I also disliked the fact that when my car was hit by another vehicle at fault I was required to go through the additional paper work of getting my own driving history report. Having my car fixed took a lengthy amount of time and the repair centre was over 30 kms away.
Been with them for over 40 years hence I like everything they do and dislike none! Pros are good cover at reasonable premiums and trustworthiness at extreme highness! As for Cons I cannot think of anything hence I will say none!
Overall I have been happy with the policy, the customer service and the ease in dealing with this insurer. I had one claim a few years ago which was not my fault and the claim was handled efficiently and I was not stressed at all.
After a lapse in judgement caused me to have a DUI on my record I was unable to find comprehensive car insurance with almost all other providers. AAMI recognises that these things can happen and that it doesn’t make you an uninsurable customer. Even though I do now have to pay slightly higher premiums AAMI still offers great value for money.
What can I say, they are there to help you get the best deal on everything. Very helpful staff, do everything that they can to help and always give the best possible quote. Also pay by the month with no additional charges.
Received a renewal for comprehensive car insurance with a write down of $7k to the vehicle from the previous year and a 16% increase to the premium, to my disgust as a loyal customer with no claims or traffic infringements in the past 10 years. You may have a concern like I did when going online for a quote (AAMI) for the same car and details as the renewal, to get a better price than the one emailed.
I have dealt with all the insurance companies, banks, brokers, assessors, etc. and I am completely happy to be insured with APIA.
Youi has completely lost touch with reality, there is no point raving and ranting about my experiences with this company, I would just say no good do not use or recommend.
Budget Direct is very easy to sign up to, you do not have to go through too many screens to create the policy and it is all written in plain english, no legalese and very easy to understand what is covered under the selected policy. Although I personally have never made a claim, I have studied the claims process online and it looks to be easy to make a claim using this method. Or I could ring and speak to someone to guide me through the process. Value for money is the main reason for choosing Budget Direct, I saved approximately $300 a year on comprehensive car insurance. And lastly, please keep making the wonderful and funny advertising that is being shown across our screens, never fails to make me laugh!
I just had a minor accident and had to claim on my insurance. Coles Insurance was efficient and quickly organised my claim and repairs. It was super quick and easy. The monthly premium is very competitive and the service was great. No mucking around - just efficient service. I will stay with them for as long as I can. Highly recommended.
