What is the Mozo Content Team watching in October?

It can be hard to sort through the masses of content on all of the streaming platforms to find a new show or movie to watch. That’s where we come in, the Mozo Content Team! Here is the lowdown on what we are all currently watching to give some inspiration next time you’re looking for a new bingeing obsession!

Amelia: I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I am rewatching my favourite comfort show… Gilmore Girls (on Netflix). I have lost count of how many times I have watched this series but it still gives me so much joy! This absolute classic show ran from 2000 to 2007 and is set in a small town in Connecticut, featuring the ultimate mother and daughter duo, fast and thrilling dialogue and lovable characters - what more could you want!?

Ally: I am currently binge watching season 3 of Critical Role on Twitch. It’s a Dungeons & Dragons show where a bunch of nerdy voice actors sit around and play D&D. Each episode is about four hours long and there are currently 35 (and counting). I am on episode 23 so I am slowly playing the catch up as I avoid major plot spoilers.

Evlin: I watched Hocus Pocus (1993) for the first time on Disney+ this weekend and it was aggressively good cult movie fun. Perfect Halloween camp, 1990s cheese, and Disney schlock. 11/10 witch brooms.

Sara: I just found out The Mole is being rebooted and coming to Netflix in October, so I’ll definitely be all aboard that train. In the meantime, I am in comfort television mode - perpetually rewatching Lost (on Disney+) and CSI (on Paramount+). I’ve just finished working through 15 seasons of the original and have moved on to CSI: Miami. I will also be definitely, definitely be watching some horror movies for Halloween - Halloween III: Season of the Witch (on Stan) is one I always fire up come October 31.

Jack: Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (on Netflix) lets audiences inside the mind and motives of one of the USA's most notorious serial killers. It's a true crime story about Dahmer's murders from 1978 through to the early 90s. It's seriously gruesome and gritty, making it not for the faint of heart.

Tristan: At the moment I am watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix. It is a British television crime drama set in Birmingham, England during the aftermath of World War I. The series was created by Steven Knight. It follows the exploits of a gang known as the Peaky Blinders, led by Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. The gang use violence and intimidation to control their territory which begins to expand beyond Birmingham. The show has been noted for its violence and use of dialects. It is noted for its high production values and cinematic feel.
