I have been with Australian Unity for many years and they are always polite and helpful.
Worst company Never Invest with Australian Unity. They treat u like a number not a human. They take your money and have continuous excuses as to why they can’t return your own money. Every time u try to speak to them I get a generic response. As I said this is a very bad company
If you want to transfer more than the daily limit ($20,000). 2 options fill in paperwork and costs $5 or the other option pay $30. How ridiculous is this. All other online banks allow you to call to do a transfer for free.
1. insane hold time when calling the bank. This is a complete insult. 2. Provide a bank contact number to call from overseas, but cannot leave an overseas number for a call back when promted. Why creat a circle of insanity? 3. Every experience with customer service has be an exercise of punching myself in the face. If you enjopunching yourself in tge face, bank with Unity Bank.
My wife opened a savings account (with piggy back transaction account). Account opening seemed to go well with a welcome SMS received quickly, however she is still waiting for the welcome email many days later. A call to customer service allowed her to set up internet banking, however internet banking does not show account numbers, so she downloaded the app to eventually find account numbers. However having decided to move money out today after the very poor experience, she can't do transfers out (under the advertised transfer limit of $10,000). Not sure why. Osko transfers do work so she is moving $1,000 per day out then leave this broken account well alone. By far the worse banking experience ever. Basic functions do not work.
Reasonably happy but other banks offer slightly higher interest. Really dislike that to get bonus interest you can’t make any withdrawals from savings account.
