Time to make the switch to a bank account built for the 21st century? With all the latest digital wallet options including Apple, Google and Samsung Pay, plus a nifty app to do your banking on, the Bendigo Bank Everyday Account could be just the match for you.
The Everyday Account from Bendigo Bank could be a great option as your main account, because if you’re able to deposit at least $2,000 a month into it (your regular salary for example) or you hold a home loan with Bendigo Bank, you’ll have the $6 monthly service fee waived.
Bendigo Bank has also decided to deck out the Everyday Account with a range of features to make it an appealing choice for mobile banking lovers. First of all, users will be able to pay on the go with their smartphones by linking their debit card to either Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.
Secondly, customers will be able to set up their own PayID, make near-instant payments over the NPP (New Payments Platform) and pay their bills using BPay.
Still need to access cash though? No worries because Bendigo allows free over the counter deposits and withdrawals, plus there are no ATM fees in Australia when you take out cash using a Bendigo Bank or any major bank ATM.
However, if you’re planning on using your Bendigo Bank debit card overseas you’ll be charged $5 for any overseas ATM withdrawals you make, plus any international purchases will be charged with a 3.00% international transaction fee.
The Everyday Account could be a great option for anyone wanting to use Bendigo Bank as a primary account in which they deposit at least $2,000 a month to get the $6 account fee waived. Especially for anyone who can also take advantage of the range of mobile-friendly features which are on offer.
As with most everyday bank accounts there is minimal interest to earn on your savings, but you could always link to a Bendigo Bank Reward Saver and transfer cash over whenever you need it.

I get that interest rate rises are not really the banks fault. But they do not seem to care, and flexibility is non existent. In addition the extra surcharges on every eft transaction are downright greedy. Many businesses are struggling and now passing these additional charges on to customers

The online banking app is really behind in comparison to other banks - it’s not intuitive or helpful. I have an account with Commbank as well and their app outshines the Bendigo Bank app by farrrrrrr! Without even giving it a lot of thought, I know how I feel, and my trust in Bendigo Bank has gone down because they don’t seem capable of keeping up with the rest… the world relies on technology and Bendigo bank just aren’t there…
