Exetel was founded in 2001, and has since become one of Australia’s largest independent internet service providers. It’s positioned itself as a major challenger to the big telcos, and has won over a large user base with its low prices and customer-centric approach.

With Exetel, you’ll have your pick between various different NBN speeds and all plans come with a no lock-in contract option.

More Exetel broadband plans

Depending on whether you have to have NBN installed or not, or you opt for a phone line there may be additional upfront charges to pay for all Exetel broadband plans. These could be a phone line activation fee, copper line installation charge, lead-in or additional cabling, plus equipment charges such as modems, routers or splitters.

How to sign up with Exetel

If you’ve got your sights on a particular Exetel plan, the sign-up process should be fairly simple. All plans are available on a month-to-month basis, meaning there are no lock-in contracts to worry about.

You will be asked to choose a speed tier and data allowance. For an additional $10 per month, you can get an unlimited home phone plan. And if you need a modem you’ll be able to choose from a $100 option or a $130 option (free shipping).
