Why use Revolut for IMT?

The pros of using Revolut include the range of personal finance features the app includes, like spending and savings tools, as well as having Mozo Experts Choice Award-winning exchange rates.

Customers can keep multiple currencies in a single account, streamlining international transactions and potentially reducing foreign exchange costs.

With access to share trading and crypto investing too, Revolut certainly covers a lot of bases when it comes to your money.

As for the cons, you might want to consider that while Revolut has applied for an Authorised Deposit-taking (ADI) licence, they haven’t yet secured one. This means that any funds you have stored in your account may not be guaranteed under the government’s Financial Claims Scheme (FCS).

Another con is that Premium or Metal accounts are subscription models, where you pay extra for bonus features and, more crucially, lower fees across a few of the app’s features. While that’s a pro for some, e.g. those that do a lot of currency exchanges or buy cryptocurrency regularly, for others the discounted fees you get might not be worth the monthly subscription fee.

All in all, you’ll want to compare international money transfer providers to see if you can get a product or service that fits your needs.
