ING changed the way Australians bank 20 years ago by launching the country's first high interest, fee-free online savings account. Now one of the most well-known banks in the country, ING has more than 2 million Australian customers.

Headquartered in Sydney with a 24/7 local contact centre, ING offers retail banking products including: home loans, savings accounts, bank accounts and many more. This year, they won awards for their digital banking experience (both mobile and internet), excellent customer service, outstanding customer satisfaction, and for being most recommended.

Online bank Up is laser-focussed on building the best possible digital banking experience, so it should come as good news that they won a Mozo People’s Choice Award for best Mobile Banking Experience.

How many banking providers were considered for the Mozo People’s Choice Awards?

Any provider that received more than 30 mentions was eligible for the Mozo People’s Choice Awards. This meant 80 banking providers ended up competing head to head for the 2023 awards.

What’s the best bank?

Finding the right bank for you really depends on your personal financial situation and needs. The Mozo People’s Choice Award winners are a good place for you to begin your search, with existing customers rating them highly for things like customer service, trustworthiness, mobile banking experience, and overall satisfaction.

How did you determine the winners for each Banking Award?

Over 3,000 Australians were surveyed in the banking category. In each category, all providers who received at least 30 responses were eligible for awards. The judges then ranked providers in order by average rating, and then determined an appropriate cut-off point to separate winners from the rest. The winners represent, in general, the top 10% of providers in each category.
