What personal loans does ANZ offer?

Fixed Rate Personal Loans

Do you like repayment consistency? Then a personal loan with a fixed interest rate could be a good choice for you. ANZ’s fixed rate option is available with its unsecured personal loan, which allows you to borrow between $5,000 and $50,000 over a term of 1-7 years. The fixed rate loan comes with a range of flexible features like your choice of repayments either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and an extra repayments facility.

But keep in mind no redraw facility is available with the fixed rate option. While you’ll benefit from always knowing what your repayments will be, if you try to pay off your loan early by making additional payments you’ll incur an early repayment penalty (otherwise known as a breakcost fee). Other fees that you’ll need to budget for include an upfront fee when you apply for the loan and a small ongoing fee that is charged each month over the term of the loan.

Variable Rate Personal Loans

Are you on the hunt for a personal loan that provides you with a bit of wiggle room in the form of flexible features? Then your best bet may just be the variable rate option offered by ANZ with its unsecured personal loan. You can set up your repayments to suit your payday with weekly, fortnightly and monthly repayments available, can pump extra into your loan thanks to the extra repayments facility and can dip into those additional payments through the redraw facility. Yep, that’s what we call flexible!

Just like the fixed rate option you’ll also have the choice of selecting a personal loan amount between $5,000-$50,000 with a loan period between 1-7 years. If you do decide to go for the variable rate option from ANZ, don’t forget to budget for the application fee and ongoing service fee and keep in mind if you pay out the loan in the first year an early repayment fee may apply.

Car Loans

While ANZ does not currently offer a specific car loan – that being a loan secured using a vehicle – customers can still take out an unsecured personal loan with ANZ to help them purchase a car. As mentioned, this kind of loan can be set at a fixed or variable interest rate.

ANZ Unsecured Personal Loan
Overall 5/10
Great staff but treated as a number by the bank

I am a loyal and very long term ANZ customer and have a good credit rating and yet I could not get a lower percentage rate on my loan. There are many banks offering low rates, but this did not sway ANZ in offering a comparable rate. I went with them as it was harder to get a loan with a new bank that I had not banked with. Great service from local staff but gone is the day when the branch manager had the final say and knew there regular loyal customers.

Not Australian

During COVID ruined my business. They say hard ship but charge interest that need to be paid the day it ends so really it’s not hardship. Every other bank paused interest during pandemic but not ANZ. All interest accumulation due the day off hard ship even though only have three months even though the pandemic has been going 1.5 years. Never missed a payment and now bank in collection with out any income.

Don’t (really) care whatsoever about their clients

Probably no worse than the other of the Big 4 banks, but I recall at Christmas maybe 4-5 years and needed just a very small help. Resolved to leave ASAP and use a Community Bank.

I was not happy banking with ANZ Bank.

Been banking with them for many years but can't provide help even apply for personal loan when I was still working. I think this bank are only catering the needs of their business clients not the working class clients. When I applied for Personal Loan at Westpac at one stage , NAB in another stage & St George lately I was approved. My existing Personal Loan is with St. George now that I'm already retired.
